A Productive Saturday (And A Thank You)

First, the "Thank You". We enjoyed our time with you all at the house in Corolla ... it's always good to renew our family ties, and I've been thinking that Mom and Dad would have really enjoyed that. I'm also thinking that Mom might have overtaken the kitchen and all the "Brookhart Women" would have marched to her beat. Dad would have enjoyed sitting in the living room, watching CNN or probably Fox News, and would have LOVED having the smaller grandkids sitting on his lap.

I can close my eyes and almost see it. It's a good "vision".

Sandi, John, Jane, or Marion ... here's another thing to think about. Next trip down there, or to wherever, I'd like to add two names to the list of candidates. Janice and I had talked about it for this year, but didn't think Liz and Rhys would be all that interested in it ... turns out they expressed a lot more interest in it that I had expected. Mea culpa.

In other news, we had a very productive day. There were a few things that we needed for the house and had some good coupons for those, picked up some dry cleaning, I did several loads of laundry to catch up, we established a "house bank account" (jeez, only after what ... 8 years?), and have hopefully picked up the winning group of numbers for tonight's Powerball drawing.

We can hope, anyway ... yes? LOL
