... we're getting 40-50 mph winds, and we're expecting 2 to 2.5 inches of rain. It is a nasty day, not fit for man nor beast. Tomorrow we're supposed to have 50 mph wind gusts.

And a late update - the SALUKIS (355 enrollment) won, as well, 40-6 over McLeansboro! Next up - the Carmi Bulldogs (443 enrollment), who are 5th seeded in the first round. What is odd to me, in looking at the pairings, why not give the #1 seed home-field advantage, as long as they continue to win? What's up with that? That's the way they do it in the pros ... why not do the same in HS?
As for Nick Evans ... I am both shocked and p-o'ed about that. Red Hill should put up a hell of a dispute about his "transfer" to Carbondale. That is so ... "Ron Felling" ... it's not even funny.
